The Tee

The Designs

Most of what we make is words — read it once, then read it again. The second look is the point.

The designs are a little smaller and low-key on purpose. They're for the people who notice — not to shout across a room.

The Comfort Colors 1717 T-shirt

  • A heavyweight tee with a relaxed unisex fit — 6.1 oz, 100% ring-spun cotton.
  • Its garment-dyed colors provide a naturally faded, "lived-in" look that mimics a worn-in vintage tee.
  • Garment-dyed colors have slight natural variation — it's part of the character, not a flaw.
  • They’re pre-shrunk, so there’s minimal shrinkage.

How It's Made

  • Each t-shirt is made to order, so nothing's produced just to sit in a landfill.
  • Designs are printed using direct-to-garment (DTG) water-based inks that sink into the cotton, so there’s no thick plastic-feel on top or peeling.
  • DTG is a lower-impact process than traditional printing methods. The t-shirt itself uses OEKO-TEX–certified low-impact dyes and cotton grown under the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol.

W

  • Lay one of your favorite most comfortable t-shirts on a flat surface, and use the measuerments below to find your size.
  • The shirt is relaxed fit, true to size and creates a roomy look — size down for a fitted look or up for a streatwear look.

Washing

  • Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors, especially on the first wash to avoid dye bleeding issues.
  • Turn the shirt inside out to protect the graphic
  • Use a mild detergent — avoid bleach and fabric softeners)
  • Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.

SUSTAINABILITY

Technology & Inks

SwiftPOD uses Brother GTX to produce outstanding full-color direct-to-garment (DTG) prints, at 1200 DPI, using cutting-edge Innobella inks. Innobella Textile inks are water-based pigment inks that are OEKO-TEX, Eco-Pass certified and CPSIA-compliant. You can be confident that their print has high durability and washability because Innobella Textile inks have scored 4.0 or higher on the AATCC wash test. !! Please note that while the inner neck labels on SwiftPOD garments are printed using DTF (direct to film) technology, the rest of the garment is printed using DTG (direct to garment) printing technology.

Comfort Colors 1717 T-shirt

Your shirt arrives already soft and broken in. It ages well – handles the wash, the dryer, and the existential dread of being a shirt.

Each shirt wears its color a little differently – that's the dye, not a defect – providing the "vintage look" that people love.

  • Fabric: Prewashed, pre-shrunk, 100% ring-spun cotton, 6.1 oz. Heavyweight, not flimsy.
  • Fit: Relaxed and unisex. True to size for a roomy drape.
  • Color: Garment-dyed.
  • Care: Machine wash cold, inside out to preserve the graphic. Tumble dry low.
  • Wash alone or with like-colored garments – especially for the first wash to avoid color bleeding issues.

 # For Creative Types — Product Page Template
### Comfort Colors 1717 · Optimized for Shopify, AI search & UCP

This template has two layers:

- **The page** — what the customer reads. Warm, brief, on-brand.
- **The data** — what an AI agent reads. Typed, complete, machine-parseable.

Fill the `[brackets]` per product. Everything outside brackets stays the same across the line, so once it's set up, a new design is a 5-minute job.

A note on *why* the split exists: under UCP (Google + Shopify's agentic-commerce standard) and ChatGPT's equivalent, the agent doesn't see your photos or your copy — it reads your structured feed and skips you if a competitor's data is more complete. So the lovely copy is for humans, and the spec table + JSON-LD below it is for the machines. Both have to say the same thing.

---

## 1 · Product Title

Two versions, because they do different jobs.

**Display title** (clean, on the page):
> "[Slogan]" — Unisex Heavyweight Garment-Dyed Tee

**Structured title** (the actual Shopify *Title* field — front-load the searchable attributes so AI search can match it):
> For Creative Types "[Slogan]" Unisex Heavyweight Garment-Dyed T-Shirt — 100% Cotton, Comfort Colors 1717

Keep the slogan in quotes so it reads as the design, not a typo. Avoid marketing-only titles ("Ultimate Tee for Real Thinkers") — agents can't search those.

---

## 2 · Description

> **Top block — the slogan, explained (2–3 lines, required).**
> [Two or three sentences on what the slogan means and which part of the FCT worldview it sits in. This is the part that's *yours*. Keep it quiet and specific — recognize, don't announce.]

> **The garment, briefly (answers the questions people actually ask).**
> A genuinely heavyweight tee — 6.1 oz, 100% ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed so it arrives already feeling worn-in and stays that shape after washing. Relaxed unisex fit. The kind of shirt you reach for without thinking about it.

> **On the graphics.**
> The print is small and set low-key on purpose. It's there for the people who notice — not to shout across a room.

> **How it's made.**
> Printed on demand with direct-to-garment (DTG) water-based inks — no plastic-feel layer on top, softer to the touch, and a lower-impact process than traditional plastisol. The blank itself uses OEKO-TEX–certified low-impact dyes and cotton grown under the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol. We make each one when it's ordered, so nothing's produced just to sit in a landfill.

*Eco-claim guardrail: "lower-impact," "softer," "made on demand" are defensible and specific. Avoid absolute claims ("eco-friendly," "sustainable," "green") — they invite scrutiny and don't fit the restrained voice anyway.*

## 3 · Specifications (typed attributes)

This table is the single most important block for AI/UCP visibility. Keep these as **structured fields / Shopify metafields**, not sentences — agents extract typed attributes, not prose.

| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Brand | For Creative Types |
| Blank / Style | Comfort Colors 1717 |
| Material | 100% ring-spun U.S. cotton |
| Weight | 6.1 oz/yd² (206.8 g/m²) |
| Construction | Garment-dyed, pre-shrunk, soft-washed, tubular (seamless) body |
| Fit | Relaxed, unisex |
| Neck | Ribbed crew, twill-taped neck & shoulders, double-needle topstitch |
| Sizes | S–3X *(confirm range per listing)* |
| Print method | DTG (direct-to-garment), water-based inks |
| Dyes | OEKO-TEX–certified low-impact |
| Country of origin | [Honduras / per supplier] |
| Care | Machine wash cold inside-out, no bleach or fabric softener, hang or tumble low |
| Color | [Color name] |
| GTIN / barcode | [per size+color variant] |
| MPN | [your SKU] |
| Price | [price] |
| Availability | Made to order — ships in [X] days |

> **Identifiers matter more than they used to.** Agents want a canonical ID and a permanent, login-free URL per variant. Fill GTIN/MPN on every size+color combination — missing identifiers are a top reason products get silently dropped from AI recommendations.

## 4 · Common Questions (the "answer what they'd ask" block)

Shopify wants this, and it doubles as a new conversational-commerce attribute that AI agents pull from directly. Keep answers to a line or two.

- **Does it run true to size?** [Relaxed fit — true to size for a roomy look; size down for fitted. Add measurements if you have them.]
- **Will it shrink?** Pre-shrunk during garment-dyeing, so minimal shrinkage. Cold wash, hang dry keeps it best.
- **Will the print crack or fade?** DTG inks soak into the cotton rather than sitting on top, so no peeling. Wash inside-out, cold.
- **Is the color exactly as shown?** Garment-dyed colors have slight natural variation — part of the character, not a flaw.
- **How long until it ships?** Made to order — [X] business days, then [shipping].
- **Returns?** [Your policy in one line — also enter it as structured data below.]
